What's this site about? I don't really know...do you just ask questions and answer them? How does it work?

hi, welcom to Y!A umm you basically try to answer as many questions as you can, to earn points. if you get your answer chosen as "the best answer" either chosen by the voters or the person who asked the question you get 10 pts. for answering this for me i get 2 points then if i get a best answer i will get 10 points as well. i see that you dont like mean people so lemme tell ya, this particular tab isnt filled with the nicest of people...but i like it none the less. lemme give you some advice, if they people you are answering to is trying to spread gossip dont say ne thing bad, cause they are all connected and can report you alot which gets you suspended. see the flag next to the thums up/ thums down symbolnext to an answer or a question, click on that to report abuse of this site, be it innapropriot conduct, or what ever, and it is confidential. if you "build your trust up" with the administrators of this site (meaning dont get reported alot) it helps if you do get reported, it isnt as much of a threaght to you... to ask questions click on the "ask" tab at the top of your page then you can create your question...to cheat the system in your body so you can put more into the explination type it into a notepad or word and copy it into there... but make sure it is how you want it because if you have cheated the system it will catch it if you tryto correct an error and you will have to re- past it in...to place your question in a category other that "suggested categories" then hit brows categories, then choose where you want to put your question. so look around and enjoy the pleasure that is Yahoo! Now, you see those three tabs at the top of the page?
I assumed you clicked the first one, "Ask." Click "Ask" and you get to ask a question, then place it in a catagory. Now, there are three stages of answering:
1. Answer: During this stage, you will recieve answers.
2. Vote: If you don't do anything to the question, it will be set to vote. You can set it to vote yourself.
3. Discovery: When the best answer is chosen, people can discover!

Hi and welcome 2 the wonderful world of yahoo answers. On this site u will be entitled to answer,ask and rate questions. on their birthday u will b sent a prize according to how many points u have.

You will be deducted -5 points for asking a question.
If you answer questions it will give you +2 points.
You have to gain points to move up levels. The more you move levels the more questions/answers you can make a day.

Welcome to yahoo answera and I hope you enjoy your time here.It works like this there are many different categories here so you choose the category depending on the question you want to ask and we answer.If you ask a question we answer.When you ask a question you loose 5 points.When you answer you get 2 points.

Well,first you must be a member of yahoo.com,then you must sign in in this yahoo answers.Now,you can click ask to ask your question and you can click answer to help the others solve problems.You can earn 2 points in answer one question.But you will lose 5 points in asking a question.So think of yourself.Finally,if your question or answer been choose as the best.You can earn extra points.It's all I know.Hope it's useful to you.Have fun!!!

read the questions if you know the answer then answer it and you will be awarded 2 points, each time you ask a question points will be deducted, have fun ;) H

you can go any area you like, there are no age restrictions anywwhere. you can ask questions about anything you like, and us, (real people) answer them to the best of our ability. you can also answer questions you find. but beware of perverts. there are a lot of them here. just dont give out a lot of info. you know, like on anything public on the web. if you need to know anything more, just email me. rachi_b53@yahoo.com

welcome,theres yahoo 360's if you have no idea what they are click on my avatar and next to my info it say soccer kisses 360 click on it & then wala!!!!!!.yes pretty much its askins and answering to get to levels.like some r on level 2 your on 1 and im on 3
