I have been riding horses for 7.5 years, and was improving greatly two years ago, but then my dad wasn't able to drive me to the stables as often, and my riding skills have deteriorated because of this. So, I'm picking up yoga to increase my flexibility, but are there any exercises I can do at home to help my riding. All suggestions are welcome, I'm desperate to improve!!

Squats, crunches and anything that builds core muscles would help immensely.

The suggestions made are all good ... the only thing I would add is if you could learn how to Drive a Motorcycle -- the way you sit on the saddle of this vehicle, the balancing skills, the ability to manage your position in space ... all these are similar to the way that I ride in a saddle (on a horse).

Never, the only thing close to exercise I get is going from the computer to the refrigerator and back.
