Yes i did.
I had my period (normal) in may of 2005 then 4 days later i started bleeding again (Not heavy), had pains in my back and belly also i was tired. I did not know what was wrong with me. The blood was brown to red to light red back to brown.
My mom and husband had me believing i was having 2 periods in a month (which never happens).
I finally went to the ER after a week of this and when they done a blood test they said your pregnant but we want to do an ultrasound on you so they did but nothing was inside me, i had done passed it.
They put me in the hospital overnight and the next day when i got out i wasn't bleeding or hurting so if i hadn't of gone to the er i would have never known i was pregnant let alone miscarrying.
I was 5 weeks pregnant. It bothers me that i did not know i was pregnant cause i have a 5 year old son but i guess it was something that just happens.
I did not have to have a D&C done or take meds.

Absolutely. Most miscarriages happen within the first 3 months of pregnancy, with the majority being in the first 6 weeks. Some woman, without knowing they are in the early stages of pregnancy, miscarry and they thought it was a heavy menstrual cycle. If you even think this could have happen to you, please seek medical attention. For reasons I won't go into here, it is most important for your health.

Women get pregnant and are not aware of it. So, yes i do believe one can have a miscarriage without knowing they were pregnant. But it would happen during the early stages / weeks of the pregnancy; in the form of bleeding or heavy menstruation etc.
But once she is aware that she is pregnant, i would say it would be very careless of the mother not to be aware when she has a miscarriage. (Only if she wants it to happen.)

It is possible. Almost all miscarriages occur within the first trimester---a time during which many woman may not realize that they are pregnant. Usually, miscarriages result in heavy bleeding. This bleeding may be mistaken for a heavy period.

Yes, I watched a Discovery program that said it happens more than people realize. That it happens before a woman even misses her first period so they never knew. It also said that the month a woman had a heavier period than normal is usually the month that it may have happened.

Yes, miscarriages often occur before a woman realizes she's pregnant. Commonly you just have a heavy period and never find out...

Yes. Many women will have one around the time that their period is expected and will just think that they are having a bad period with cramping.
