I heard that he beat her up and now is running from the law is it true?

it's been on the radio and on the internet. But he didn't beat her up. He punched her in the arm and thigh and then left the house. And I'm not sure if he punched her or hit her.
Maybe they're making a big deal out of it because he's famous and she's pregnant. Although I don't condone men beating on women, I really don't see the big deal. But that fact that he's missing makes you wonder if there's more to the story.
