My personal opinion is that now you wouldn't because ddr it not that great of an exercises. You move and sweating but it wouldn't really benefit your health. You would lose some weight but most likely your going to gain it back because it doesn't work your entire body. What you want to try do is maybe running 30 minutes everyday or even walking 1 mile would also get you some results. In addition, I have friends who thought you could lose weight playing ddr, but they found themselves with no results of weight loss.

Home versions of Dance Dance Revolution and In The Groove have Workout Modes which counts calorie burning based on your weight and other factors and yes you can lose alot of weight! I started at 220 before I played dancing games and now I am down to 180. You must equally consider diet along with gameplay. I strongly recommend you consult a phsyician or trainer before you start a diet/exercise plan. Also you can track your calorie burning playing In The Groove 2 arcades by using a compatible USB Flash Drive card.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Hmm, DDR requires a good supply of water everytime you go there, seen people play for 5 hours straight XD. But yeah seems possible to lose weight from doing that.

I average about 15 hours a week in dance game lately and I have killed 6 pounds in a solid week. So depending on your game play and calories burned it is possible.
Remember to stay hydrated while playing wear light and loose clothing and do don't anything uncomfortable while you play.

Good question!
But it all depends on the song(s), difficulty, and song's intensity.
You can burn lots on MAXX Unlimited SSR rather than My Fire Another.
MAXX Unlimited is the second of the *counts and thinks for a moment* 6 MAXxes. These songs are very intense on SSR.
My Fire on Trick is so simple. This is so because this was an early song.

Possibly. Continue to eat healthier! It might work if you really try to work up a sweat playing that game.
