Global warming is by no means, a true occurrence. Personally, I'd credit "global warming" to seasonal variations. In the past 50 or so years, the total amount of increase is only .6 degrees Celsius, or 6/10 of 1 degree Celsius. Not a huge amount. Remember, the gas that is responsible for "global warming" is carbon dioxide or CO2, a gas that EVERY living creature on this planet breathes out when they exhale. CO2 is used by green plants to process food through photosynthesis, which in turn give off O2 which we breathe in.
As technology improves, obviously the ability to monitor life on this planet improves as well. Consider this; in the 1800's, records were being kept of daily temperature variations, and recorded. That's where the first of the records were taken to prove "global warming" is occurring today. Can anyone guarantee without fail that the recording instruments at that time were accurate? My bet would be a resounding NO! Not only that, but what instrumentation was available to record CO2 levels in the atmosphere in the 1800's, and were they accurate? Again, my bet is NO! So don't get caught up in the THEORY of "global warming" without questioning some of the theory itself. Use your own common sense and you'll disprove a lot of it by yourself.
Of course, this is all my personal opinion and others will surely not agree with me, but that's part of being an American. We're free to think what we want. My 2 cents worth.

No one knows the causes. It could be natural or it could be related to pollution and the ozone. It has long term devastating affects. Glaciers melt and the sea rises which can reduce the amount of land available above water. Extreme weather conditions are also linked to global warming such as hurricanes. There is no know solution to reverse global warming. The big thing though is to reduce air pollution.
