I am 26 years old and my guy is younger than me. We are both ready for a family. We have been trying since November and we have had unprotected sex on days that I know for sure I was fertile. Why am I not yet pregnant? I haven't been on birth control in years so I know that isn't an issue with waiting for the drug to be out of my system.
Anyone have any tips? I don't want to try fertility drugs because I don't want to end up with twins or triplets (smile).

Stop trying! Your body is wound up and maybe this is the reason you can't get pregnant right now. Just have fun making the baby as much as you possiblly can!

An ob/gyn won't even talk to you until you've been trying for 12 months. Even if you have sex when you are fertile (right before ovulation, preferably) you only have a 25% chance of getting pregnant. Those odds really stink, I know. Give it time. Two months is nothing. Many of us try for many months (17, 8 and 5 for me ... and that's with fertility meds!) and it works .... eventually. Take this time to read lots of books and get your body pumped full of folic acid and vitamins. You'll be a mom soon enough! Good luck to you and your husband.

But if you do end up on Clomid, the odds of multiples are barely increased ... it's a few percentage points.

Given your age, and I assume you have regular periods, it can take several months to conceive. Most women do not get pregnant the first time they try to get pregnant. It can take up to 6 months of trying. Most doctors won't check for infertility unless it has been a full year of trying with no success (6 months if you are over 35). If you haven't already done so, try using an ovulation test (you can buy them over the counter--near the pregnancy tests). Most women ovulate around day 14 of their cycle, so my doctor told me to start having timed intercouse from day 14 to 21. I would give it a few more months before getting worried. Relax and have fun (wink) and Good Luck!

Why you're not pregnant yet (and you've only been trying a couple of months...give it time) is called "Mother Nature". Stop focusing on getting pregnant and start focusing on enjoying the intamcy with your partner...You might also go to the doctor and have the "plumbing" checked out there could be scar tissue causing blockage, preventing you from getting pregnant.

trying since November isn't much time at all.
It takes about 6 months of trying to get pregnant for 1/2 of the population.

Tell your husband to get checked out, make sure he has some good swimmers.

people tell me this all the time enjoy the pleasure you are getting instead of "i hope the sperm got to my egg, so i can get pg" so there you go think of the pleasure your getting out of it.
