She is 10 and doesn't have her period, why?

For the simple reason that it's not time for her yet. Everyone is different it comes when it comes. It's no big deal. Actually 10 is a little young. I wouldn't worry until she is like 13-15 then she should see a doctor.

Some women do not begin menstruating until they are 15 or 16. I wouldn't worry too much about a 10 year old not having her period. In fact, I would think that a 10 year old menstruating would be the exception rather than the 10 year old who is not yet menstruating.

10 years old is very young to be getting her period. the average age is about 13. don't worry. your period will come, but probably not for a few years. some girls don't get their periods till 17 and that is still considered normal. just be glad that you DON'T have your period yet because (trust me on this!) you''re gonna wish you didn't have it once it comes!

Different people get their periods at different rates. She should talk to her mom, when did her mom start and she should start around that age. I was 12 when I started. I know people that started at 10, but I also know people that started at 16. It just depends on the person. Enjoy childhood... kids grow up to fast these days, I think and I'm 18. Good Luck.

I'm a nurse. The age girls start their period is 12 years old. However some girls start at the age of 9 years old. I wouldn't worry about it for now. But if you feel something is wrong with her, see a doctor. Take care.

Because Shes TEN. The normal age is about 12 or 13. Y r u in such a hurry? Im 11 i still dont have my period and Im NOT in a hurry.

10 year olds should not being getting their period. She'll get her period soon enough likely around 11-13. Don't worry

She's not reached her particular bodies time for the cycle to start yet. Everyone is different. I know it seems like girls are getting younger and younger with their periods, but be glad!! I didn't start until 15 and I now have 3 healthy children. God Bless.
