No matter which president you have in the office not every one will be happy. And 28% of what population was polled for the numbers? There is a ton of crap going on in the world today and in the USA and very few of us tax paying citizens are thrilled with it. Such as I get sick thinking of all of the boys that have died in Iraq and what the hell for? All of the money we spend fighting what? OK so they killed SADAM so what has improved? I have many family members in the military and that is fine and that is what they have choosen to do and we need people to protect us but in my 40 yrs of life how much are they really protecting us.
Presidents have an agenda. And if you think they really give a rats *** about us you all are wrong. It is a prestigous job with perks for the rest of your life. Ford got a day of morning and he was a creep. Did we do that for Regan NOT! Clinton does dirty dues under the desk he got out of the office but he is still looked at like some great person of importance.
Government is not here to serve us. Try being late on your taxes. And see what happens.

Any president commands respect for what he's even trying to do. Jimmy Carter didn't do squat, like couldn't even work a deal to get those hostages who were taken when he was in office. A republican had to; getting us out of Viet Nam was accomplished by a repbulican...fighting a terror war is not the most popular but look at it this way. More soldiers were killed during the Normandy invasion than have died in five years in Iraq. Everyone got more money back on their taxes when the credits were give; yes, this country is in debt, but are we not FREE? Except for Ike, Kennedy, Ford, Ragen all popularity of presidents actions have declined; however, is congress not to blame for more of the indicision than the president? He can only present the programs but the senat and congress have to make the final decisions. Bush only vetoed once in almost 8 years. He also had the guts to fight the enemy and no one joins the military to just 'form a career'...they want to be there to protect us. Besides, Bush doesn't isn't a drunk. Would it be acceptable for me to call Clinton a who%%e monger?

The President should serve the people because he was placed in power byn the people whom he is supposed to serve rather than attending to his interests like oil as perceived by many Americans.

According to the constitution it is We the People that are suppose to be running the government. Unfortunately, our government is de-facto and no longer constitutional.

first of all i think every President should have respect(even if they don't deserve it), because they are/were our leaders; doesn't mean we have to like them. and second of all, your question sux
