Of the existence of of real vampires? Not "sangs" or "psyvamps" (and those were really big quote/unquote signs), but real Anne Rice, Buffyverse, Bram Stoker vampires.

If we could prove them, they wouldn't exists in the world of speculative fiction. The best we can do is prove that people honestly believed in them, and acted on those beliefs. There's a great PBS special that comes on sometimes, about the "Vampires of New England" -- archeologists found legends of vampires, and dug up graves in which corpses had been beheaded and staked! But the theory is those people had tubuculosis, before anyone knew what tuburculosis was, and so it was blamed on vampirism (especially the blood at the corner of one's mouth, after they'd been coughing all night).

Nah. I hate to say it but it think it started out as a metaphor (comparison) describing the bloodsucking rich. There are vampire bat that bite an animal and lap up their blood.

You can find the real thing in either Africa, mexico, New Orleans, mosco, brazil, New York. These are the areas, specifics I wont give, find them yourself if you dare.

There have been reports of people with 'Fangs' but I don't think any real vampires would be stupid enought to tell us where they are hiding.
