EAT

2007-01-05 14:19:53 · answer #1 · answered by Bianca 2 · 0 1

A really easy way is to eat foods that are very dense. They will give you a lot of calories without making you feel as full.
Some good options are:
Carnation Instant Breakfast
Ensure
Clif Bars
Whole Wheat Pasta (white pasta is okay, but whole weat is healthier)

resist the urge to eat lots of junk food, because although it will make you gain weight, it's unhealthy and will fill your body with empty calories, raise your cholesterol levels, and will slowly break your body down. But of course a daily treat is allowed!

also, do not completely stray away from your exercise routine, because you will get out of shape and will feel sluggish once you do gain the weight. Substitute some of your cardio for more strength based training. This will bulk up your body with muscle, not fat, which im sure you would prefer!

Clear Mascara and Holly S have the right idea.

The goal here is to gain weight, not deplete your health. I'm guessing you'd like to bulk up, rather than become obese and sluggish, so it will help to increase your lean protein intake. Chicken breasts and any other white meat is ideal, so eat red meats sparingly. Snack on nuts and green veggies. The darker green, the higher in nutrients. Whole wheat pastas and breads are also better alternatives to the more common carbs.

Fat is good, but stay away from saturated fats and fried foods. Sure, they will help you gain weight, but will also lead you to higher risk of heart and other circulatory diseases.

Exercise regularly (3x/week) and do minimal cardio work to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system (you're gonna need the lungs to breathe when you're stuffed from all that good food!) and weight lifting if you're a gym member. Consult a trainer for advice on weights.

Whether you want to gain a lot of weight or just a little bit, just make sure you do not make it a habbitual thing because I'm pretty sure you will eventually want to stop losing weight. Don't just eat junk food and drink cola either. You will become fatigue, and well it's just unhealthy. Don't completely cut out physical activity either. It doesn't just affect your weight. Ask your doctor a healthy way to gain weight and be careful.

I have had the personal experience of gaining almost 70 pounds this way. I promise it will work. Drink SlimFast every day, about 3 a day, and don't excercise or change your diet. You'll gain and gain fast. If you normally don't eat alot, that's okay too. Neither did I, just drink at least 3 or more a day.

I can only tell you what has worked for me. One of my favorite things to eat are hot fudge sundaes with sliced bananas. I eat at least one a day for a week and gain 5 pounds. I eat full fat extra rich vanilla ice cream.

If this doesn't appeal to you, just eat whatever your fave high fat high carb food item is and eat lots of it! Good luck!

avacadoes

Also try to build muscle because muscle weighs more than fat.
