Well, it could be totally broken. Cell phones just weren't meant to hit water. The best way, I've found, is to remove the battery, and place the cell phone and batter separate on a towel, and lay it somewhere warm and dry. good luck!

Take the battery out - let the phone air dry overnight - this has worked for me.

take the battery out and then blow dry the rest of it the blow dryer gets it done fast
