any piercings hurt to some degree and i would think the belly would be a tender area

Yes it hurts. But not for very long. They take a curved, hollow needle and run it right thru the middle of your clamped skin. But they do it quick.
The pain is comes a day or two later - when it starts to ache and swell a little. Healing time varies. You'll want to get it done soon if you want to be VERY sure to be healed by summer. There's nothing sexy about a half shirt showing of an infected piercing.
But if you'll call up the the shop where you want to get it done, they'll likely answer all of your questions - which should include questions about sterilization.

Well depends whether you get the top or the bottom of it done.
Bottom hurts more than the top.
It still hurts either way though.
I've had 16 piercings, and I find that my belkly button [And it was the bottom of it,] hurt alot less than all the rest.
But some people have a different pain tollerance..
What ever you do, don't get your tounge pierced as your first piercing.. It hurts like hell and puts you off every other piercing.

No it doesn't its sore for about two days and then the soreness goes away. Just watch for infection. Clean with liquid dial and it should be fine. There is also a sea salt solution that most piercing places sell that will help.

Doesn't hurt at all! A slight pinch is all you really feel..and it stings a tiny bit afterword, but it's definitely doesn't hurt. Just make sure you keep it clean if you get it done! Good luck! =)

it really depends on the person. it did hurt me a little bit, but the pain is only temporary as long as you take care of it and keep it clean. if an infection develops, however, it will hurt.

no!!!! not at all... well atleast not till they actually use a needle to slowly knife their way through your ever so sensitive skin untill you completilly pass out... but when you wake up you wont feel a thing! : ) (because they put you under heavy doces of numbing drugs) ...well, youve heared enough from me...HAVE FUN! ...that is, unless they... actually nevermind, youll find out your self if you have the guts to go... oh wait, they take those out.

my best friend got hers done and she said it hurt but not like a really bad crying hurt and then it was bleeding for a couple of days which was really gross but it is totall worth it, especially during swim suit season

it sohuld hurt lik your get ur ears peirced..but i also heard that it can giv yu some kind of cancer 0_0
