has anyone played this game? Is it anygood as I havent played a good RPG since...Panzer Dragoon Saga (!!)

I would get it. It's completely worth the price of twenty dollars (amazon.com is where i got it). It will keep you interested for quite a while. If you go ahead and do ALL of the side quests and battle a lot, you could spend 40-80 hours playing it. The battle system is pretty good, but the storyline is a little "been there, done that.". I'm beating it for my 3rd time and you can unlock new things after you beat the game...my advice? get it.

Actually, it really is a great game. I owned it for a short time before I sold my Gamecube and I played all the way through and completed it. Now, if you are looking for a thrilling story line, you won't exactly find that here. Gameplay, however, was wonderful. The battle system is very fun and gives you a great sense of "Hey, I'm actually doing this" as opposed to the typical turn-based style. The graphics were very smooth, and the puzzles were fun. Also, this game is not very short. If I remember correctly, I explored quite a bit and spent well over 30 hours playing. If you haven't played it, it's definitely worth a try, and if you find it for 20 bucks or so I'd absolutely buy it. Hope this helps!!

Wow - it's been a long time, huh?
Well, if that's where you set your standards, I wouldn't expect you to be blown away from Tales - it's not a BAD game... it's almost good, it's just not...... really good, or great, of amazing.
The fighting is interesting, but it gets a little repetative... and sometimes the game is pretty, but it's also really cartoony... The story is pretty interesting, but for anyone who's played even a handful of rpgs, it's pretty predictable too.
There are some fun things to do, and an ok number of sidequests to keep you distracted, and the story is good, but it's not...... great.
For what it's worth, it should only be $20, and it's a great time killer while you're waiting for something really good to come along again.

I have only played the first Tales Of Symphonia game but having played Kingdom Hearts 2, I'd definitely suggest playing that, and every Kingdom Hearts fan girl would agree.

Oh yes tales of symphonia is a very nice rpg. I personally beat the game twice and it has extras after you beat it, hidden techs, multiplayer campaign co opp, party making, AI controll party, everything you like in rpgs. In can get a bit querky at times but its all in good fun!

It is alright. My friend Aaron loves it. The entire Tales series is good though.

hella gewd!!! i got it when it first came out and it takes forever too play (becuz i play the side quests) beat it 10 times so far
