I think that coming to know Christ and accepting salvation has been my greatest gift. Love and companionship feels better than anything else that I've ever had.
I think everybody goes through a period of feeling down. Allow yourself sometime to have your pity party but not too much time and then encourage yourself and get back on track. Remind yourself that things could be worse and be thankful for the great things that you have in your life.

I always assume that the worst possible thing will happen in every situation, so if I am wrong, I end up pleasantly surprised, and if the worst thing actually does happen, then I am happy that I was exactly right.

It's best to rely on your own thoughts and experiences to bring you out of misery, rather than on someone else to come along and lift you up, because relying on others leads to being failed by others.

happiness. i know that sounds corny and naive, but it is. i believe that happiness is like choosing what you are going to where in the morning. yes, i do believe that depression is a real disease. i went through a teenage phrase of being overly sensitive and touchy about everything. a wrong look or whispered word could make me retreat to my room to write emo poetry and cry. now, i am the preppiest person. why? i learned that happiness is my choice every morning and every second.

inner peace

One only becomes miserable by allowing their problems to define who they are. Its better to handle problems than it is to become them.

Why don't you see someone about it. Sounds like you may be depressed. Look for a good therapist. It can't hurt.
