It's really interesting, especially if you liked the sciences in high school.

Biology gives you a chance to see life as a whole and as a sum of its parts; it also gives you the chance to see how life has overcome the problems that the world has thrown at it (i.e. how animals evolved biochemical systems/behaviors to attract mates or fight predators)

Homework... you basically don't have outside of lab reports or studying for classes. As a Bio major, you have quite a bit to read and memorize, so you'll be reading more than your friends in, say, Business, but probably less than your friends who are English majors. Also, in my opinion the Bio stuff is waaay more interesting than reading about things like principles of accounting.

I wouldn't be a Bio major if
1) You don't like reading about science and discoveries made about life on Earth
2) You have major religious conflicts with the concept of evolution (although you really need to learn this stuff)
3) You have an awful, awful memory

Hope that helps!
