I'm not really using the latest software, and I really can't afford a new computer right now.

If it's a pentium or Athlon you're ok

if not, you can still do it, just won't be nice and fast

It all depends on what you mean by Home Music Production. It's very hard to give you a definite answer because the processor speed is not the only thing that determines the functionality of your computer.

Now 850MHz computers are at least 4-5 years old. I'm guessing you have Windows 98.

It should be fine for now but you may run into to issues later.

lol very very slowly yes...like 1.6 GHz is still slow but yes it is ...it'll do it just very very very slowly
