If you think that Corky is a the worst name for a kid, i know someone whose first name is Dorcus can you imagine growing up with that one

Wasn't Corky a character on Murphy Brown? Anyhow,I think a quirky mama with a corky kid does that.

A friend of mine was "Corky" on his baptism certificate for a while, the priest mispelt Cory. His parents finally got it fixed.
Other then that, a mother who thought it would be funny and didn't put much thought into the fact that a child would have to deal with that name for EVER!
Ever heard the comedy/music group Corky and the Juice Pigs? They're funny!

More than likely they use that as a nickname. Corky for a boy is usually Charles, and Corky for a girl is usually Charlette.

Corky reminds me of Bubbles' puppet from the show Trailer Park Boys. Love that show!!
Either that or the boy who had Downs Syndrome on the 90's TV drama Life Goes On. That was a great show too.
