I am sorry. I really don't know. Just hug her and cradel her and keep patting her on the back. Best of luck. I always cry when i see an animal die.

If ou were force feeding her water through a syringe, it is possible that you introduced water into her lungs. If she is active, she should be alright until you can get her the vet tomorrow. If she starts wheezing, and gets lethargic, you might want to contact whatever vet offers emergency services in you r area, since pneumonia is technically water in the lungs, whether it's pneumonitis...inflammation from an outside source, or natural, bacterial or viral, the effect is the same...ragged coughing and irritation as fluid collects in the alveoli.

DO NOT FORCE FEED IT.
Unless you know what your doing, this could make it worse. I recommend doing some research on the internet. Use google.
DO NOT HANG IT UPSIDE DOWN.
This is probably making her even more sick.
Is there any PET HOSPITALS in your area?
if so, call them.
Just watch her actions.
If she starts acting very lethargic, coughs up blood, starting to throw up frequently.....
Try your best to find somewhere to take her.
As for food, let her eat at her own pace.
Nutritional Paste would probably do good.

My ferret has done the same in a large dog water bowl - I went to a large pet store anywhere and told them the problem and they furnished me with a ferret book and some special food and the next day he was hungry and was able to run around/eat & drink!!
I also took him with me to the pet store with me!!
The pet store has plenty of ferrets that do this all of the time !!
Atleast call a pet store!!
I hope your ferret gets better !!

Why were you forcing water??? She will be fine if she is eating and drinking and playing. But don't force her. If force is necessary, a vet should be doing it. BUT, I had to give cough syrup to both of mine and today one decided to inhale it, so yes, she is hacking too, but it only lasted a few minutes. Just take her to the vet if her habbits change. otherwise, let her eat and drink on her own k?
good luck

Hairballs, pretty sure. My ferret, when I first got her, had this problem. Gave her some hairball remedy and it cleared right up. If i'm wrong, contact your vet.

Call a vet helpline. Someone told me that they are open all night. Try lightly padding its chest, not hard.
