brakes are fine. Clicking sounds electrical and is in the dash below steering wheel.
The click sounds like a blinker and only when I step on the brake peddle. also only when running and in park. ?? no click when braking while driving. Maybe this was there before not sure . compressing the calipers made me notice it.

The sound is inside the car, about a foot and a half above the brake peddle.
whats weird is only clicks when idling in park.

the clicking is a solenoid that allows you to shift. it unlocks your shifter when you press the brakes to prevent accidental shifting by children or animals. try shifting without pushing the pedal and you should'nt be able to. its normal dont worry sometimes they just get a little noisy.

if it only clicks once per push of the pedal then it is your shift lock release switch. it is unlocking your shifter so you can put it in drive. It has always done this and you just heard it recently. try shifting from park without your foot on the brake. doesnt move huh. turn your radio back up and have a nice day

if it was not there before the pad replacement, is probably the pads not installed correctly. make sure the metal clips are in correctly and lube the area that the metal touches. the pads should be snug and slide on the clips. do not get grease on the pads or the rotor.

if its there when its in park, but goes away when it's in gear, its the shift interlock switch or solenoid. it's probably a coincedence that it went bad now. no real relation to doing a brake job.

Did you forget to take the packing off the pads?
Checked calipers? Adjusted ? Turned?

i mechanic for a living,,and you may have left a clip or something off of it,,and the pads aren't riding even,,it can also be a rotor that needed to be turned down..id go back over it to see if there is anything loose on it,,better to be safe than sorry,,it may be something simple ,,but it needs to be re-checked,,good luck ,hope this help,s.
