Anything can sell on ebay, but ebay has grown now beyond the point where you can list any junk that you have.

If you lack a source of cheap electronics or a garage full of antiques and jewelry, your best bet may be to channel your mystic side.

If say, you happen to own a 'haunted mirror', and can write a longer story detailing it and the history behind it and make it sound spooky and take nice pictures, then you're on to something. Then if you suddenly discover that you also have a haunted old porcelin doll with a great story to go with it, people will buy that stuff up. All it takes it a good imagination, err, collection of haunted old junk.

something you have a lot of and can sell extra to make money off of. if you want to buy something to sell then buy things you know and can get the best discount off of. like if you know what kind of electronics people like and you can get them cheap then sell that. don't sell anything that you don't know too much about or else you won't know how to list it. look at other peoples auctions first to get ideas on how much the item is going for and the specs they listed. also, use a template to make your auctions look better.

Sell a red paper clip on e-bay and after lots of trading, you could get a two-storey house.

Kyle MacDonald did that a year ago. Have a try!!

Anything electronics that still works, looks like new and it really
helps if it is in the original box. Also along the same lines are
electronic games or discs.

There's a wide range of things that are discounted as much as 80% at http://ewebproducts.com under discount stores. The overstocked store and FSC are the best.

You need to pick something which you are interested in, have knowledge with, and have access to. You should be able to recognize bargains when you see them, know how to promote these items on ebay, and know where to get them (garage sales, discounters, etc.)

You don't need to specialize in one type of thing, by the way.

Look in your garage, closets, basement and attic. People will buy anything if the price is right. Things that don't sell: cracked, broken, chipped, dirty or things you can buy at Walmart.
