MY 1st pregnancy I had hypermises, i had to take something called zofran. So sometimes there is nothing that works. I am now pregnant again and some things that help me are Eating something dry right before bed. I nothiced that if i let myself get hungary I get sick. And this might sound insane but V8 tomatoe juice calms my stomach. But if your ob recomends a med take the zofarn saved me in my first pregnancy, Hypermises is horrible you get sick no matter what you eat or drink all day every day. I was in the hospital every onther week for dehydration. Good luck hope you feel better !!

Ginger, peppermint and accupressure are all ways to help curb morning sickness, but other people already mentioned those.
I had NO morning sickness with my first son.... my second I had morning-afternoon-evening sickness... one thing that helped me was to eat lots of small snacks especially one high in protein. Not having an empty stomach helped. Making sure I drank lots and lots of water helped too.
Some of it was mind over matter... the more I worried about getting sick, the worse it was. If I got my mind off of it, it didnt seem so bad.
Hopefully it wont last long... hang in there and congrats on your new baby!

Put some crackers at your bed side and when you first wake up in the morning eat some. Even before you get out of bed. Don't rush yourself in the morning. Try eating your breakfast in bed. Drink plenty of clear fluids in the morning. Milk and orange juice first thing in the morning isn't the best thing. Try only water or a clear juice.
This helped me a lot.

Eat or drink food with ginger, ginger ale, cookies, tea, etc
Go to the drug store and get motion sickness wristbands,
they helped me tons when I was pregnant with my twins.
I was REALLY SICK ALL THE TIME and they helped.
When you first get up eat a few saltine crackers.
Good Luck, I can totally sympathize with you!

Try eating anything sour. Lemon juice/lemon aide works really well. Also, try eating crackers. Some specialty stores sell these things called "pregnancy pops". They are sour suckers designed to be eaten when morning sickness nausea starts. Hard candy works well too---jolly ranchers, peppermints---whatever you like.
