dragon's basically eat whatever they want, though most species have more carnivorous tendencies then herbivorous ones. It honestly depends on the age, species and size. If it's a newly hatched hatchling, give it a diet of 2 parts meat( cooked or otherwise) blended with 1 part milk (I recommended whole due to the fat content) until they get to be the size of a large house cat. then start weening them to whole meat chunks and cooked vegetables.
As far as young adult and adult dragons go, the virgin thing was only a pseudo myth. The reason why most dragons' snatched up virgin maidens was pretty clear, and if you need me to explain that, it's time you either hit puberty or asked yourself why you're still living in your mom's basement. Honestly, the only reasons why a dragon would eat a human is if they threatened it or became so old they couldn't hunt anymore. (humans are too stringy and take alot of seasoning to taste right.)
Traditionally speaking though, Livestock such as sheep and ox were taken in the middle ages due to lack of prey and encroachment by humans in the dragon's territories. The best advice I'd give for now a-day's would be getting him/ her an account to Costco or Sam's Club and letting them hit the meat department once they reach about the size of a medium to large dog. To aid in their digestion, give them stones to help in breaking down food more efficiently.
As for alcohol, ALL Dragons are fond of good spirits; wine, ale and hard liquor not excluded. Just make sure they are at least legal of age to drink or are supervised when doing so, and give them knowledge on how to drink responsibly. (after all, we don't need a drunk three year old dragon with a hard hat driving around town in heavy machinery clutching a 40 oz. in it's cute little claws. :P)
hope this helps.

Any sort of meat should be good. Mutton especially. If the dragon is old enough you can feed it an entire sheep. Babies will only eat meat up to the size of an entire steak in one sitting. I would avoid feeding it dairy because it can cause gas. Whatever you do don't give it alcohol!

A whole sheep or oxen is good - or a maiden. A Dragon Feed store can make recommendations too.

Meat. It's a carnivore right? So bring on the red meat. Just give it a cow.
