I would definitely leave out the ball park for now. I do like the idea of someplace romantic like the symphony or opera but only i would just tell her to dress up and take her their by surprise. Yes definitely get the flowers, candy etc... Please Please Please bring back the romance.

The movies are a classic stand-by. An inexpensive restaurant in town is also a good place to sit down and talk and figure out if you're going to want a second date with this woman.

Also, make sure to go dutch. If you start paying for everything now, chances are you always will be. Some women will use a man as a walking wallet if he lets them.

Oh yeah, and don't bring anything cheesy like flowers or candy. It's more money you're wasting when you barely know this woman, and it'll get you into the trap of constantly shelling out more money.

Forget the candy. If she likes classical music opera and symphony are good. Classical jazz at an intimate club might be nice. Or a blue grass concert in the park. How about a night cruise on a boat? I prefer expensive Japanese restaurants. What am I talking about? I'm already married! Theater can be fun, with an after-theater dinner, as in London. If she likes sports, be sure and find out which ones she likes first. Take her to Canada for the weekend (Vacouver, Montreal or Quebec City). Take her country Western dancing.

I Would Take To The Opera And Buy Her Roses

i agree-bring the romance back. what happened to walks through the park and moonlit beaches? corny, but effective and romantic. flowers add a nice touch, but it's gets old after a while, and flowers are a pain to take care of if you don't want them to die quickly. candy is ok, but women worry about calories, blah blah blah. a single red rose is ok, but don't buy her a bouquet every time. besides, flowers these days cost a fortune!

it depends on what her taste is

if you dont know her that well ask her to choose a movie .. it will help you figure out her personality and if you go to dinner or dessert after you defintely have something to talk about

i would bring flowers .. roses in a unique color (like yellow or the color of her eyes)
