i normally wait to have my baby shower and give one till the mother to be is 7and a half or eight months along this way it is not to soon and you still have time to buy what you don't get and might still need!

I would say around 7 1/2 months...the reason for this is because there is less of a chance of a miscarriage at that point, but it is not so late that the chances of the baby being already born are high. I think 7 1/2 - 8 months TOPS is perfect...anything before or after that carries risks.

I always thought that a baby shower should happen after the baby is born. Everyone wants to see and hold the baby, and then you can buy things that are gender specific. No more yellows and greens. I guess if you are going to do it before the baby comes sometime in the last month and a half would be good.

I would say 7 1/2 - 8 months preg., that way you already know the "sex" and getting new things for baby is exciting, it kinda gets the parents more anxious
