i have a friend who thinks he gay but doesn't look like one

it is usually a hereditary trait in their genes that makes them gay. despite common thought, it is NOT A CHOICE. gay people are, obviously, attracted to the same sex. they tend to have more femal characteristics and take after many female emotions. gay men sometimes are better at knowing peoples' emotions before someone says how they feel.
they don't have to dress like girls or wear make up to be gay. it is all about how they feel on the inside.

Genetics make someone gay. And what do you mean by "he doesn't look like one" ? We all look different. It's not like there was only one of us and cloning made the masses. Most of us are as different as day and night. Some are femenin, some are masculin, and some are a mixture of the two.
Don't stereotype us!!

Gays aren't all red haired, green eyed, left handed, 5' 11" with size 12 1/2 shoes.
Come on, you can't tell just be looking at one, so your comment was not only rediculous but derogitory, insulting and offencive.

If he likes men and prefers to be intimate with men he is gay. Now he probably doesn't look gay to you because gay men look like men. Yes, they look like men have all the same equipment but like other men.

Being gay is not how someone looks, it is a word to describe who someone is sexually attracted to. Sexual attraction is based on biological and genetic factors, so what makes someone gay is based on the same things that makes someone right-handed or brown-eyed.

Being raised by just their mother (single mother with no siblings) and only talking to their mother. That way theyl perfer men. Would you be sexyally attracted to your mom.... NO

Try gaining his trust; make him feel he can talk to you about just anything, no matter how personal it can be then ask him.
