1 - The Radical Republicans:
a - wished to see the Union restored as soon as possible, which caused problems for Southerners.

b - ended the military occupation before it had time to effectively implement all their plans for Reconstruction.

c - were so bent on vengeance, that they likely did some harm to their cause of helping former slaves succeed in a post slavery South.

2 - Corruption among Reconstruction Governments:
a - was much worse in the South.
b - did not occur except in South Carolina and Florida.
c - was more common in the West than in the North.
d - was certainly no worse than anywere else in the country at the time.

They're both a.
1. The problem was that the reconstruction governments and programs were causing huge amounts of debt for the southern states and the governments were HUGELY misspending money.

2. Alot of the government officials were either "carpetbaggers," who were northerners who came down to the south to earn a quick buck, or "scalawags," which were the same, but from the south already. When they got into politics they'd basically do anything for money (ex: accepting bribes, putting tax money into their own pockets, etc.).
