Maybe b'cause people can relate with what he says......I mean 2Pac did the same thing but in a different style, right? To each his own I guess. (and no I am not comparing the two, just their way of expression)

Well he talks about things that a significant portion of the country can relate to. You see if a black rapper is SINCERE he barely sells because only 12% of the country can relate to what he is saying. That is exactly why black rappers turn themselves into shallow action movie gangster caricatures because that is the only way they can sell themselves. Look at Nas and how limited hs popularity is (the mainstream didn't even know who he was untill he dissed jay Z). So the answer is that it is demographics my friend. More people can relate to what Eminem is saying because he represents a bigger chunk of the population. As for most black people, I think they accept him but I don't think they listen to him. I have never seen a black guy driving by with Eminem blasting from his car. Personally I think he is a decent lyricist but I can't stand his voice! He needs a voice box transplant.

His duet with Akon was good in Smack That, but otherwise I don't care about Eminem! Of all the events you've describe that have been overliking Eminem, I agree with you that people have been doing that indeed. I don't think just people of Beyonce's race like her, that's being racist, because I'm of Asian heritage and I think Beyonce's a wonderful performer. I'm sad for Jay-Z that they thought Eminem was better than him, and whatever, on Eminem being number four on VH1 40 Greatest Rappers.
