Gerber has been around for so long...you can trust pretty much anything they make..organic is just a fancy way of saying no pesticides or additives(which even regular gerber has no additives that I know of)
They even have very good life insurance(the grow up plan for your babies)
here is a site you can browse through http://www.gerber.com/home
I hope this helps you and I wish you a happy healthy life with your children.

Best is to get yourself a blender (if you don't have one) and blend up fresh (organic when possible) food for your babies. It is way cheaper, and way better for the baby, being fresh and unprocessed, so more vitamins survive and enzymes too. I made all my own baby food---except when we were away from home, when I'd use the jarred organic varieties.
Making it yourself is easy. Lightly steam whatever veggies you have, blend them to a puree, adding a wee bit of water as needed. You can do just one at a time, or blend several together for different tastes.Babies don't need any salt or seasonings. You can pour it into little snack-sized zip lock baggies and store the extra in the freezer--- then heat before serving by letting the bag sit in very hot water.
You can do the same with fruits and/or cereals, cooking some oatmeal or rice and blending with a bit of milk or formula, if your baby is on that yet, and maybe some ripe bananas.
Any fresh ripe fruit (again avoid sprays and chemicals and GMO's whenever possible) can be blended and served as is, raw, or frozen for later use.
When you do buy the jarred varieties, always go for organic whenever possible.
Don't forget to take each food one at a time at first to avoid allergies. Feed a new food and wait a few days before introducing the next one. Wheat and cow's milk both can cause allergies, so go slow on them. Also, no honey before about a year as it can contain small amounts of bacteria which babies systems are not strong enough to fight off.
Good luck!
PS If you make your own food, you will find it easier to switch to whatever the family regularly eats as time goes on. Blend less and less as they grow teeth, so they get used to little chunks. The tastes will already be familiar to your little ones.

Organic means they were grown without pesticides. But I believe Gerber brand still uses GMO foods (genetically modified or engineered). It's better than regular though. If you really want to feed natural, healthy food to your baby you can buy Earth's Best Organic Baby Food, or Healthy Times Organic. Or just buy organic produce and grind it with a food grinder, spoon it into an ice-cube tray, cover and freeze it until you are ready to use it. This is much less expensive and it is better for baby.

I use regular gerber since I started my son on it first, and I didn't wanna switch him. I bet organic is better, it costs more.
