If you don't mind going to a mediocre school that won't improve your chances of getting job -- yes, you can get an MBA right away.

Students at the top 15 MBA programs are able to get six figure jobs when they get out and change fields easily. Those in the next 15 can do almost as well. Those going to schools ranked 31-45 can usually get a large enough increase in pay to justify going to school -- but don't have the flexibility that those going to top schools have.

Most students going to unranked MBA programs will find that it doesn't improve the kind of job that they can get, and any increase in salary does not justify the time away for work. These programs are fine for someone who wants to get ahead in his current job if the company pays for it -- but not worth the time otherwise.

The top programs want their students to have about four years of work experience. When I got my MBA at Duke, there were only two students out of 360 with no work experience. One was admitted through a special five year BS/MBA program. The other had gone to a top liberal arts college and had stellar qualifications.

If you have high GMAT scores and a good GPA, it is worth it for you to work for a few years before getting an MBA.

Yes, you can go right to graduate school after finishing your four-year degee. If you check the websites for universities you are interested in attending, you'll see the requirements for admission.

That said, you might find work experience (and any money you could make/save) useful before studying for the MBA. It's up to you.

You don't NEED work experience to get your MBA, but it definitely helps. I worked for a couple of years before starting mine, and I found that my work experience helped me gain a deeper understanding of the course material. Case studies, etc. will make a lot more sense if you have at least a year or two of work under your belt.
