Yea Mora. I actually have a .40 cal strapped to my waist even as I type this. But I would never do that, there are kids up there.

Leave a note on their door stating that the walls are thin as well as the floor & that the noise carries & could they please be mindful of it (don't sign from what unit, just as "your friendly neighbor"). Excessive noise-makers are either uncaring ******* or to stupid to realize what they are doing. Sometimes a simple note and friendliness will fix things. If this is unsuccessful, you are best to try to get out of your lease and move.

you could buy a white noise maker, play quiet background music, or keep your ceiling fan on to cover up the noise. plus, i agree with the person who said to tell the land lord; your upstairs neighbor may not even realize that he or she is being too loud.

I call the guy who lives above me "elephant feet" He is aptly named. Sometimes he decides to dance in the bedroom at 6am. I bang on the ceiling. Sometimes this works.
Or, you could retaliate. Get yourself a subwoofer, it doesn't have to be fancy. Play a loud bass heavy song late at night.
