well if you're thinking of getting a springer it dosen't matter. just check their feet per second and buy the strongest one you can find. if you have time and 60 bux, on airsplat.com under gas non blowback there is a very good pistol and it's 60 dollars shipped when you add a gas canister. the gun shoots at 320 fps and it HURTS! my friend has one and i had been looking at one for some time and told him to give me a shot to see what it was like and i DEFINATELY felt it through my hoodie and insulated camo suit. i HIGHLY suggest that gun if you want a side arm but speaking from experience hand guns don't do a whole lot of good in airsoft. since you're already using a short rifle (you'r mp5 *is* a short range weapon due to the short barrel) as long as it's automatic, which i assume it is, you'll never touch you'r pistol.

it's not wise to sacrifice the rate of fire in you'r main arm for the high power low ROF in a side arm unless you're primary has a long barrel (something like an m16 or an ak-47 with a fixed stock.) and even then it's a stretch because the pistol really can't make up for the rate of fire.

if you have your heart set on getting a pistol i suggest that gas 'socom' pistol (it is called the 'socom' pistol if i neglected to mention that... it comes w/ a 'silencer' inner barrel extension but don't get excited about that, my friends broke first game when someone grabbed it) but as i've said, i've been in quite a few airsoft wars and the only time i EVER used a side arm (a springer cuz i haven't bought myself a gas one yet) was because i had my sniper in my hands, i was prone and my G3 SAS was on a sling on my back, i've since switched to leaving the SAS on the ground near my right hand, more useful..

hope that helps and i gotta say i like how you handled the first user's blatant pointless stupidity!

good luck!
