I've wanted to be a chef for years, and I've picked out my school already. I know that a sous chef is a sort of assistant, but I'd kinda like to know what kind of a job they do compared to a regular chef.

I really love the cooking/baking aspect of being a chef and don't really want to teach or head a staff...so which occupation would be better? Sous or reg. chef?

They used to do the preparation work of cooking: chopping vegetables, bringing the ingredients of the reciepes to the mixing/cooking area. Now the definition is "under cook" - working under the executive chef.

Sous literally means under in French. So, a sous chef is a deputy chef, so to speak. An executive chef runs the show, they give orders, monitor efficiency of the kitchen, making sure the meals are cooked well, served in a timely manner, they make sure the chefs have all the needed ingredients for preparing meals. Executive chefs also determine the menus and specials to be served; they're pretty much the CEOs of the kitchen.
A sous chef is like a VP of a company, he makes sure the cooks, apprentice chefs and other chefs are carrying orders from above

It also depends on where you work on what a sous chef does. If you are a sous chef in an upscale bakery, you still manage the staff, and do a lot of grunt work but it's with a lot of baking. Watch Ace of Cakes on food network and you can see what his sous chef does. Most people start off as a sous chef to to get a handle on things then branch out.

They are the executive chef's assistant and they tend to be the people who execute the executive chef's vision. They are in charge of food production and kitchen staff. Sometimes they help with menu and daily specials.

Not at all. "She has a boyish figure, a scared body, and a hideous scared face as an adult (due to fights that she looses). These fights make her stronger and a better fighter. They also make her braver and more courageous. She no longer runs from fights." -It is good that you didn't make her very beautiful or pretty. Not all characters have to be gorgeous. Plus, she becomes stronger and learns from her mistakes. "Two of her friends die and she is upset by this. She wants revenge, but knowing that it won't help her, she continues traveling with her two surviving friends." -She loses something close to her. Good, because everyone has to experience loss now and again. She doesn't get everything she wants.
