Well, i play point gaurd and what my coach tells me all the time is to pay attention to the game at ALL times making sure i can see everything that's going on, because i have to set plays. Also, you have to be a f good dribbler, but you don't have to dribble right when you get the ball, you have to look for people to pass to, don't just dribble for the sake of dribbling. sumone might take the ball from you and make you look bad. you have to make sure you know all the plays even if they don't involve you, because the point gaurd really has to know EVERYTHING. Also, don't be afraid to psych people out and make a nice centre lay up. only if you hav good ball handling skillz. Basically, pass and don't hog, and when the centre is open, you have to be quick adn do a proper layup and don' forget to drive, that way, if they foul you, you get two shots. ya, that's about it

work on you're ballhandling skills..the better and easier you can switch hands, the better you can protect the ball, the better you will be. work on no look passes and your sense of peripheral vision. also practice playing one-on-one. point guards are usually the best persons on the team that can excel at one-on-ones, and point guards should be able to execute without much help from teammates.

first and maximum suited supply management from that place. %. and choose your spots on while to be a scorer and while to be a distributor. you're able to desire to verify what your team needs from you that interest. people who inform you that because of the fact which you play factor you're able to desire to think of bypass first are no longer a hundred% appropriate. you understand your team extra useful than we do, so which you're able to desire to decide for what's excellent on your team to win. while you are the superb participant and scorer then it would not make experience to be a bypass first participant. in case you have 2-3 different gamers who can score additionally then it according to probability superb to be a bypass first guy. yet from what I examine your teammates are no longer that stable and you have undertaking making photos additionally. properly you're able to desire to paintings on your skill paintings; dribbling, shooting, passing. paintings continuously on those fundamentals and you will boost right into a extra useful participant no rely what place you play. Ball dealing with is the main! with the flexibility to create your very own shot off the dribble and get separation from defenders is the version between being a customary participant and a stable participant and stable to massive. Ex.. Ray Allen...to Kobe Bryant. the main important distinction of their interest is Kobe's skill to create his very own shot off the dribble. This makes him a extra useful participant than Ray.
