hehe I LOVE the smell of detergent. I pour about half of the bottle of store brand detergent into even the smallest load of laundry and I take a big long whiff of it too, this is pretty much all that motivates me to do my laundry...So the other day that bottle of Dawn just looked so good, I just had to...and I sniffed in like a coke addict. Is this going to mess with my brain cells or anything like that? I don't like the smell of perfume but that smell is absolutley delicious to me...♥

I don't do it excessively, only when I do my laundry which does'nt happen as often anymore and when i'm passing by the Dawn. Which hardly happens...

lol.. I like the way it smells too but not enough to put it up my nose.. I hope you didn't mean that you snorted it.. like the powder... that would be bad.. I don't recommend breathing it in constantly..but I don't think it will cause harm while you are doing laundry.. you might want to add an extra rinse cycle to get all the soap off your clothes though ;)

i doubt that there are any significant volatile ingredients in dawn detergent. if you really want to know, you can search the web for a MSDS (material safety data sheet) or contact the manufacturer for one. MSDSs by federal law have to list all hazardous materials included in the product at a concentration greater than 1%.

Had you mentioned any of this little quirk of yours to us when you
asked about being weird, you might have gotten a lot of different
answers and responses. Ha Ha. Actually, I used to love the smell
of my room aerosol, Linens and I use another one Cranberry
scented. So the room smells like fresh linens or cranberries.

If you were snorting it, I would say you were kinda silly, but I do agree, it does smell VERY good. I love the way new cars smell. I even have a air freshner called "new car smell' that I use in my room and my car.

That's one of life's little pleasures isn't it? Some of them do smell really good, and others just toos them. Hopefully you don't think of yourself as odd because the stuffis nice to smell. I've smelled it for years and nothing is wrong with me. I think.
