It really is more disrespectful than trashy. The deceased should be treated with a bit of respect-- when attending a funeral, one should devote their attention to the memories of the lost loved one, not to the possibility of attracting a potential suitor.
At a funeral, one should dress more conservatively. This doesn't mean that you have to hide every square inch of skin, but you really shouldn't flash too much cleavage or too much leg a little above the knee.
I don't see why she didn't try to find something else. She could have still appeared very attractive, and she would have been more comfortable-- seeing as how you said she was slipping in her shoes.

I don't want to say it's trashy, but it's not formal enough for a funeral. Especially with black leather and fishnets. It doesn't give much respect to the person who died.

I think the fishnet hose & 4 inch heels were too much. If she had solid black hose and 2-3 inch heels, she would have looked like she had more respect for the deceased and the family. As it was, it seemed more about her.

IMO, it would depend on the person who passed. I've been to all sorts of funerals and even to a few where I was horribly out of place because of my attire. I went to a biker funeral in a deep purple dress with black velvet floral and a black velvet over coat. Everyone else was in biker leather, torn jeans and club colors.
So, it depends on the person that passed.

Oh my gosh! That's so unbelievable I actually have to laugh! A funeral is not the place to be advertising yourself, it's about the deceased and their family, like a wedding is about the happy couple, or a birthday about the person whose day it actually is. Ridiculous. So trashy. She should not be meeting her next John in such a venue.

Trashy, yes....but u knew that. Slipping her feet out is no big deal. Perhaps she was the deceased's mistress, in which case the outfit was appropriate.

yeah thats trashy
if i were her i would have worn black pants, something kind of plain. the point of a wedding isn't to make a fashion statement and thats pretty disrespectful to keep taking her feet out of her shoes.

if that girl is related to you tell her that that the kind of example she is setting is not a very good idea that you are giving out. you needed or need to confront her about that because i don't even know you and your family and feel bad that the girl was such a self-centered person, she didn't think about the deceased person ( may he/she rest in peace) and the other people around her. and her parents may have been embarrassed to even know that she was their daughter.

yeah, that was inappropriate for a funeral. if she had worn a longer skirt and lost the fishnets she would've been fine, though...
