Sadly, this is common with girls and it really doesn't change when you get older. Someone told me once that when you are old, you'll be lucky to count your real friends on one hand. I've come to believe this.
While you shouldn't "dump" your friends, you should be careful with what you tell them. Don't tell them anything you wouldn't want them to talk about behind your back. You might also mention to them that you know, and state your disdain for their actions. If they know that you know, they might be more respectful. In the meantime, I'd work on meeting a lot of new friends as well because you never know when one of your "good friends" is going to surface!
Best wishes!

Find some new friends. Keeping secrets is natural and even not telling your friends every little thing is natural too but if someone is saying hurtful things about you behind your back, that's not a friend. I say drop them and don't even worry about them.

Well if you dont confront them about it they will still talk behind your back. So confront them and tell them how you feel and if they dont respect your feelings try hanging out with some new people but still keep in touch with your old friends too. GOOD LUCK : )

Straight out confront them. BTW if theyre talking about you behind your back, theyre not your friends. Real friends back you up and dont let anybody talk smack about you. Tell them what you think and move on to some better people who are more mature.

Depends on what they are saying... if they are talking bad about you behind your back, I would bring it up casually somehow.
"So I heard you didn't like the way I _________________ ?" What's up with that? Why didn't you tell me?
Something like that. At least they will see it gets back to you. If they keep doing it, then drop them, they aren't real friends. A real friend will never say anything about you that they wouldn't say to your face.

in every relationship with friends, you talk with eachother behind eachothers backs. this makes the relationship healthy because people will be less likely to bottle up their feelings and explode. dont tell them that u know they keep secretss from u

why tell them?
They will just lie and deny it.
Try to start cultivating new friends...who ever told you what they were saying about you probably was not that great of a friend either.
A real friend of yours would not know what the others said about you because once they started, the real friend would have left.
Next time your 'friend' comes to tell you what someone said behind your back, ask that 'friend' what he or she said in response.
Chances are that the 'friend' was not silent while it was going on.

Hell yeah, call all of them to a meeting and let them know that you know everything they've been doing or saying, then go on your own way. you seriously don't need any friends like that.
