I live in Oregon... I have to love the rain or I couldn't live here. :-)

"I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good
Well I love a rainy night
It's such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
To taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadow

Puts a song
In this heart of mine
Puts a smile on my face every time "

I adore the rain.

One of my favorite rainy memories was when my husband took me to Charleston (SC) for the first time and we went for a midnight walk in the rain. We rounded Market Street and I saw the most magnificent Colonial manor with spiked fortifications straight out of my dreams!!

In front of the house, there was an 18th century carriage stoop that I stepped up on facing the street. My husband took me by the hand and said, "Close your eyes, then turn around"...I did and when I opened my eyes it just threw me straight back into the early days of Charleston before the time of The American Revolution. It was breathtaking and I was just stunned. The gaslights let off a low flicker in the rain and everything within my field of vision was authentic to the period it was built.

My husband and I are avid history buffs and often go to Charleston for the comfort of being in such a historically rich place. We hope to move there soon, but for now, I'll always remember the walk in the rain we take whenever we're there...it's hard to believe, but every time we've gone, it has rained.

I will always associate the rain with happy memories and that is just one of many!

From the Late Great EDDIE RABBIT
the complete Lyrics

Well, I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good

Well, I love a rainy night
It's such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
Taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadow

Showers washed
All my cares away
I wake up to a sunny day
'Cos I love a rainy night
Yeah, I love a rainy night
Well, I love a rainy night
Well, I love a rainy night

Ooh-ooh

I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good

Well, I love a rainy night
It's such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
To taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadows

Puts a song
In this heart of mine
Puts a smile on my face every time

'Cos I love a rainy night
Yeah, I love a rainy night
Ooh, I love a rainy night
Yeah, I love a rainy night

Ooh-ooh

[Instrumental Interlude]

Showers washed
All my cares away
I wake up to a sunny day
'Cos I love a rainy night
Yeah, I love a rainy night
Well, I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
Well, I love a rainy night
You can see it in my eyes
Yeah, I love a rainy night
Well, it makes me high
Ooh, I love a rainy night
You know I do, yeah, yeah
I love a rainy night

I love a rainy night
You can see it in my eyes..

i like wintry climate, specifically the night as nicely.and what's greater pleasing is a wet night, grabbing ur coat and communicate a protracted walk, whilst all ppl are dashing homestead,u experience that u r on my own interior the placement, which you very own the night. u start to think of roughly good thoughts, maximum of my good thoughts are in wintry climate, the rain only makes am wonderful soundtrack for that. or u commence thinking of the destiny and a few the way it feels so bright and promising. and that i think that rain cleans ur soul like celine dion says: ''enable the rain come down and wash away my tears....enable it fill my soul and drown my fears..enable it shatter the partitions for a sparkling solar'' i actually miss wintry climate.

In St. Pete we woke up to rain-I love to lay in bed and listen to the drops hit the roof, the car, and the ground. The alligators will be happy as well as the birds and the ducks, and so my soul will also be happy!
but really-80 degrees in January?!?!
I think I need to find some snow pretty soon!
Mountains-here I come!

I'm also in Florida. Funny you'd ask tonight. I heard it pouring and decided to walk downstairs and get soaked for no reason. Felt great.
