So most people know that the new Wii comes with the game "Wii sports" but my question is this:

Does the Wii still come with wii sports or has that changed for the new shipments to retailers? And is Wii sports supposed to continue to be included with the console in Feb.-March when the Wii's price is supposed to drop to around $200 and the other colors become available?

Thx.

I imagine that the sports will always come with the Wii since it's the personal game for the system. I haven't heard the price dropping even though that would be nice but I don't see it happening anytime soon with the popularity on the console.

The Wii will continue to provide WiiSports because all systems that come basiclly want to give you the opertunity to play before HAVING to purchase a new game. They want you to play it and say "This is awesome I need to buy more games." Instead of buying one game and not buying anymore cause they are too expensive. (They did this on a lot of First and Second Generation releases for NES, N64, & GameCube. I never bought an SNES so I don't know about that one.

Also, The price and color issue has not been in an official press release or stated on Nintendo's website so where ever you heard that I wouldn't believe it. As my husband stated just now, "You can find any opinion you want on the internet."

Will sports will continue to be included.

Where did you hear that the Wii is going to drop down to 200 in Feb. or March? I think that's wishful thinking. Wii is doing really well, so why would it need to drop in price. And as far as the other colors go, I think it's only for Japan.

I'd say that yes, it will always be bundled with WiiSports. It's just such a really great disc to really showcase all the cool motion features of the controller. And it is really fun, and involves the whole family. WiiSports is fun for just about everyone.

If it was replaced tho, it would have to be with a similar type product, that was really fun, diverse, and showcased the controller ability. I doubt you would ever see a Zelda, or Red Steel type game bundled with the console, just because it would only appeal to a certain type of player, which in not Nintendo's intention.

I've done a lot of reading of articles about the Wii lately, and it seems their intention is to try and draw the casual/non-existant gamers into playing their system. And let me tell you, it seems to be working. My mom was trying bowling the other day, and my little cousin who usually thinks "video games are dumb" couldnt get enough of the boxing or the bowling.

First off, no one really knows if Nintendo will stop including the game in the package. Next, where on Earth did you hear that the price is suppose to drop? Do NOT listen to any source about that unless it is from nintendo.com itself or press.nintendo.com.
