i wanna be more outgoing and have guy friends. how do i talk to them and become friends with popular people? and i am not friends with them at all. like at all.

consider joining an activity or club that you're interested in, like soccer or chorus or something. guys like sports and cars and action movies, etc.; learn what they like and find what you might like about it, too. pick a football team or basketball team to follow, or a racecar driver or athlete or movie star or something along those lines. don't be fake, though, be true to you, make sure you think it's cool. the guys will dig that you like something they like and you can build conversations from there.
to get noticed, try to have something unique about yourself, such as always wearing a certain color, or being the girl with the crazy pens or the sexy shoes or the big earrings. have fun, try new looks, experiment. but, always be yourself. :)

listen Melissa, guys now days will just look at you with the wrong eye. So choose your Friends wisely. I mean I played football in high school and I hung out with that kind of crew. But my Friends would say I was out of the 50's because I would never look at a women as an object of perversion. Some time you just got to be a little old fashioned. Now I have a girlfriend and am a sophomore in college and life is much more mature now. So remeber, that life is not a popularity contest and high school glory goes away really fast.

If you are not with the friends you want to be with, be more outgoing, and maybe invite guys over, and talk to them. Start to get to know other guys in your grade. Ask your current friends if they feel the same way.

Find people that have similair interest as you. It will be natural. You can't 'make' a friend. You can try, but it's never quite real.

i'm not sure about popularity.
but if you want to have guy friends, you have to hang around guys. not everyone will come to you, esp guys, b/c guys just want to be guys.
