listen, memory is a very broad category involving important brain functions, you may be able to remeber peoples names or faces, but not phone numbers. NO ONE HAS A PERFECT MEMORY.it depends on what kind of memory your using and for what. it also may be a problem with how your receiveing the information your trying to process into your memory.like is the information coming from your eyes(visual) or ears(auditory).or maybe theres some kind of 'filter' that keeps blocking you from receiving the information. In any case id recommend you read this book called "Keeping Ahead in School" by Mel Levine. In it he defines what memory is,what is used for,and how to use it.He also discusses various learning disorders and how they affect certain brain functions.part of finding the proper solution is identifying whats affecting you. this book can really help you and id hope you would consider it before resulting to self medicating or drugs.

yes~diagnoses from normal health books can prescribe stuff that will make you aware of the extra expenses of the herbs and minerals that u can buy and the cost will make you perk up and take notice of how you improve, the top of the line stuff at GNC is around twenty a bottle for caplets of good stuff for memories and i have five different bottles so it is expensive and at the point of needs it does make u exspect more out of the memory cost because u waste money on it, also so get clothes with big pockets so you can carry what you need and have a dumping table to empty on and build your own war chest of stuff to fight back with and it can't be accessible to other people cause they screw around with stuff and that is another issue

For sure contact a mental health professional or your regular doctor before trying any medication of any sort. A psychiatrist can test you for different disorders. You can try making lists daily, getting a notebook or a day planner, things like that as well.

Chemicals won't help, but practice and brain exercise will. Try learning things and remembering lists to start with. Do crossword puzzles and 'brain games' this helps too. Your brain is a muscle that you have to exercise in order to make it perform better.

I wouldn't take any pills before consulting your doctor first. Those ritalin type drugs have some side affects. If you want to take a more natural approach, ginko biloba is supposed to help your memory. They sell those in any natural food store in the supplements section. good luck!

make a note for yourself all the time ... inform yourself what you should do and what should be done...no body can help you except your self... or either way look for an interesting thing or new stuff to keep you remided that you have to end this thing as soon as possible or you might end up nothing...
