cuts the hay and then bales it for storage
i just don't wear boots to look good....lol

It's not combined with anything, it's called a combine harvester because it combines several processes involved in harvesting the crop.

In the early farm machinery years harvesting grain took two steps. First cutting , second was threshing( removing grain from its hull). when the combine was developed it acquired its name because it would preform both processes in one step.
