I hope you do understand that gay adult movie stars implies p0rn stars. I don't wanna get this question deleted for no reason. Nathan Lane was not a p0rn star. That would gross.

yea, but only for certain roles or more specific gay type movies. and the lesbians would have an easier time crossing over than a man would. its like, its ok for a women to be with women but with men i don't know why but its about a man being submissive and taking up the butt. that's just plain..... anyhow he would be less excepted.

Not really. Porn is pretty much a career ruiner, unless it is amateur (a la Paris Hilton, Pamela and Tommy Lee, Colin Farrell, etc.) or done very early in your career when you were young and naive (a la Sylvester Stallone). Coming out of porn as a career professional is basically impossible, and then add the fact that it's gay porn, and I just don't see it happening, considering how gay celebrities are already stigmatized in many ways, without sex even being thrown into the mix.
Then again, famous gay porn star Matthew Rush was just in the mainstream (well, it's independent, so not really mainstream, but non-porn, let's say) film "Another Gay Movie", so maybe I'm wrong!

That all depends on how the rest of society would look at it, remember hollywood is just a big popularity contest and we the public choose who wins, so if a gay adult movie star is socially acceptable in the eyes of the public, then sure.

Only if they're gay for pay. Hollywood still has an unwritten rule about their leading men that they're afraid women won't buy the fantasy if the leading men are gay. If the case was otherwise so many men who were in gay pr0n wouldn't try so hard to hide their past.

if they have the look that hollywood is looking for at the time than yes they could land a part and if people take to them for there talent and charsima then yes they could cross over
