Personally speaking, I have had a couple of experiences in my life which makes me believe that the very idea of fate is a real concept, but apart from that, my knowledge on the subject is very limited. If anybody has some ideas on what they think fate is and if it can be somehow "controlled", could you please tell me what your thoughts are on the subject !

The idea of fate, that the universe in its infinite vastness has predestined a course for us to follow is an interesting one. It might be from God, or some form of higher being; or it might be from something less.. dramatic. The funny thing is no one has any real answer to this. Although it does follow a sense of logic, bringing order to a cosmos that should in theory be chaos.
So, I have no clue.

In the times of the Gods. Fate was believed to be controlled by 3 sisters, these sisters would spin a string to make life and cut it to end it. They had 3 names based on "luck" one was Happiness who was young and full of energy. Sorrow was the second sister ( the middle one ) she was always crying and always frumpy. The eldest was Anger, always furious at the other two. It was said when Anger cut the string of the mortals Sorrow would hold the strings that were in Happiness' hands because she didn't know what death was. In order to keep Happiness' Mood she needed to keep her in her own state. Also, it is said that the Fates cut the strings of the Gods themselves when the time is right. Of course, this is all from Ancient Civilizations that have been gone for centuries but, the concept is there in our every day lives. For example, In Christianity , people say "God willing." Even though, God is One Entity it is concidered omnipotent enough to take someone's life as a consiquence or even because it is fated or destined.

Over time we may change these views and put the thought of fate behind us. Who knows maybe if we are able to turn back time one day fate won't hold sway over us anymore.

Fate isn't controlled and, those who believe it is controllable are basically those who are too arrogant to see past themselves to realize in the end when we are on our death bed fate has done all it has to shape us into who we are. If we are arrogant Fate dealt us that hand, if we are humble fate has dealt that to us too. We are who we are because we have been through life.

I believe that everything is chaos controlled into what it needs to be and do. As for humans I just believe we are cosmic coincidences who are here because of everything around us, Not because a higher being made us to watch over something.

God controls the final outcome. Fate is in His hands. Get a Bible and read it.

The Lord knows our every thought. He counts the hair on our head. He is our provision and protection. He loves us more than anyone loves us.

fate as a subject is broad. its leads to destiny..beliefs in karma.. spiritual links of each person, animal and nature on earth..if you have a weak spiritual belief.. it might confuse you and also might lead you to contradicting beliefs...

but this is one this i have to say about FATE. we can controll our own fate. it just the matter of how you decide or choose major or even minor things happening in your life...and the understanding of why things happend for a certain reason..and how to controll it.

Fate is not controllable. It is the result of many forces impinging on you life. Since you nor I have any idea what all those may be , we cannot control them, therefore what will be, will be.

There is no fate. We are animals with big brains. That doesn't mean the universe has some spirits that pay attention to us.

Some people call it fate, some people call it coincidence, but we all know it has a spiritual connection. If it is good, it isfrom God, if it is not good, He has either allowed it for your particular purpose, or to prove His glory.

Our higher power, our God, or what we see to be our higher power is the fate that we experience.
