How much is the government allowed to take (in percentage) for section 8 rent? is it 25 or 30 % each month for rent payment?

they use a different formula than u think. They take ur monthly income X 12.. subtract so much for utilities (here, it's 480 year) then they take so much off for disability (here again $480)...they take off unpaid med bills over 3% of total income.. they take the total and u pay 30% of that.. It differs in each city based on the utility standard...

call the office where you got your section 8, or social security to be sure, each state may be different.
