If you've ever been tuned to a station when you're right on the border between two areas that have different stations broadcasting on the same frequency, then this is what they would pick up as well.
(If your answers say "tune to the right frequency" then you haven't understood his question)

If you are asking how they would listen to 2 stations in 2 different locations using the same frequency, I'm not sure. If one were stronger than the other, they could certainly pick that one out. But I don't know enough about signal processing to know how to differentiate 2 signals of the exact same frequency.

The same way we do it, by just listening to one frequency at a time. If they go downtown to their friendly neighborhood alien Radioshack, they can get the parts needed to make a simple crystal set and tune into whatever frequency they like.

You're probably right. But as for TV, there were nowhere near so many when TV started. Now there are more, but they are digital. Easier to separate out. As for radio, you might be right.

Yep, it would be mixed up, but they will not hear it, the first TV transmissions only reached our nearest star a few years ago!
