Steroids is just the newest way to cheat. Baseball is always about cheating and getting an unfair advantage over the next guy. I promise if Ruth had access to steroids, he would not turn them down. Corked bats, spitballs, pine tar, sharpened cleats are all cheating too. What makes steroids a higher degree of cheating?

It's only cheating if you use a banned substance.

I think after Lyle Alzato died from steroid use,it became a major issue, even though he was a football player that opened the eyes of all the sports. You are right baseball is full of cheaters, you are coached that way all the way from little league, high school, college,to the pros.I played a lot of years and seen alot of the "tricks" used to get an edge. But it was kept in-house,when Canseco came out with that book everybody started running for cover

Because these fat, bloated headed jackasses are breaking records that have stood for 50, 60, or 70 years just because they are on roids.

I would have been perfectly happy if somebody would have beaten Barry Bonds to within an inch of his life before last season started. Talk about the worst piece of trash out of the garbage dump.

Sammy "I can no speak a engleesh" Sosa, Mark "I want to focus on the positives" McGwire, Barry "everybody hates me because I am black" Bonds, Jose Canseco, and Jason Giambi should have their numbers from the last 5 seasons wiped from the record books as punishment.

Coz steroids make a player more powerful and gives them a large unfair advantage over players not using them (performance enhancing drugs). It gives them the biggest advantage out of all the things u listed above.

Its not a fair game...so thats kind of stupid to ask.

Its not fun to watch the guy on steriods come up and shoot it out of the park, compared to the little guy who just gets enough to have it go out.

ITS NOT FAIR, and in the future MLB will find out who is all taking them.

Becuase steriods are illeagal, plus they give players using them an unfair advantage.

I agree, players have always cheated.

The problem I have with it is they'll lie about it to their grave, they'll lie about it under oath, but most of all, the minority of players who do it right by hard work and practice end up looking bad.
