Yes why not, as long as my husband didn't mind. Although he wouldn't have to sleep on the sofa. We have a spare room, he could sleep in there. If he was a very good friend and in desperate need of somewhere to stay it would be fine. People could say and think what they want. It honestly would not bother me as long as my husband and l were both cool with the idea. We all need the help of a good friend at times, and there would be no more to it than that.

NO! Although, most likely, nothing would happen, it still "looks" wrong. If the people at work find out about it , the gossip mills will have the two of you having a full-blown affair....even if NOTHING happens. Plus, his wife will always despise you, even without justification. You need to not let him stay. I'm sure he has some male buddies that he can use their couch for a day or two.

Well, I would feel uncomfortable about it unless we were good friends, but if he seemed like a trustworthy person, I would probably let him stay one night to give him some peaceful time away from the stress. No longer than that though. He can get a hotel room, find another friend to stay with, or go home like an adult and decide with his wife what to do.

Just do not get involved with him, because that can cause problems later on. But, yeah, it is fine to let him sleep on the couch for little while. When my then boss, Jim was getting a divorce, my husband and I let him sleep over. After a while, though, he thought it was OK to stay all the time and didn't ever offer to pitch in with the bills. We had to kick him out.

Not only that, I would bake him chocolate chip cookies, and we would put on a good movie, and then turn on the radio and dance to all the slow songs!
