It seems to me that all newborns seem to look like they're mad all of the time until they're about a month old or so. What do you think?

I totally agree that they get cute later and I shouldn't have said all newborns.

I don't think "scary" describes newborns, but I agree that most newborns are not cute until they are reach 1 to 3 months old.
Although every new mom will tell you that her newborn is the most beautiful child she has ever seen. I know because that's how I felt when my son was born.

Some newborns are cute. One of my nephews was the ugliest thing I ever saw when he was born. He had a cone-head and acne. Now he's a gorgeous 22 year old.

My babies were both beautiful chubby things (both 8 1/2lbs plus)when they were born, not wrinkled or mad looking. Just perfect round little faces with dark(almost black eyes) and they both had full heads of of dark brown hair. My second ones hair a little curly and long enough to put pig tails from day the day she was born.

No I love newborn babies and I don't think they look scary at all. Newborn babies can look pretty adorable and cute.

Wouldn't you be mad to if you're pushed out of a warm secure womb to face a world that is colder then where you came from and you know eventually you'll have to do things on your own. What strikes me funny is how their bodies are shaped like frogs.

I think they all look alike but they are so cute especially at ages 1-3

My older son looked like a little old man till he was about 2 months old..all wrinkly and red...and pissed off most of the time...lol

I don't think they're "scary looking" but I do think their faces look kind of like really old people.

hahahha.
i have to agree.
so many people say, "oh such a cute baby."
NOT
but, on the other hand, some really are cute and don't have the mad face or a big old cone head.
let's face it tho, when there first born they are really not finished cooking yet.
