I have been asking myself this question for a while, only the other way around. Why? Because they always use puerto rican actors to play mexican people on TV and movies. Ex: Freedon Writers actress April Lee Hernandez or Fernandez. I guess we do look alike...But if you ask me we have our differences too. Sure we are both Hispanic people but their demographics are different from ours. Puerto Rico has black people, something Mexico doesn't (but you'll find some in the coastal areas of Costa Chica (FYI) and Mexico has indigenious people which PR has little of.
